Reviews for this release

Heads up: the so called "stable version" dated Oct 24 2008 sucks, nothing works and it's buggy as hell. Look for Scott Beeler's latest update, this fixes the worst omissions and makes it an acceptable means of showing foto's on your website. It's easy to download the outdated junk since this is what is presented in your face when you enter this site, go to "Source Code" for the good stuff.

Great software, once installed works very well and is highly configurable. Only downside is it took me a long while to get working, until it was pointed out in the forum that I needed to set up a MIME type for .xap files which was very simple to do. May be add a trouble shooting guide to the quick install guide

This open source slideshow is very professional. Simple document. Easy integration. Source code is well structured and documented. Great job!

This SlideShow is dead good looking. However, it scales very bad with a big amount of pictures : heavy memory consumption (release events handlers !), very slow response time... I tried to write a paged data provider which load xml on need, but it requires to review the whole data access strategy. This project is a very nice Silverlight interaction/design demo, but there is no miracle.

This application intermittently fails to download images, at this point it is unusable and the question has been asked but not answered in the discussions
