I am following Slide.Show_2_Configuration_Guide to using configure file.

1. I am not an advance user, is that possible provide much more easy way or step by step to success using configure file xml

   And also what photo size u suggest to use.

    I am uploading 12 ALBUM on my website, each album have 100-200 photos, and each photo is about 100MB-200MB

2. But the performance so slow, can you give me some suggestion?

At last Appericate with your work, GOOD JOB...WELL DONE..THANKS A LOT!

Hi,

sorry, but you'll have to follow the steps in the other thread and compile a working version for the XmlConfigurationProvider until someone of the developers changes the sources.

Do you really have 100MB-200MB photos? Why? The download with SlideShow is not slower than direct download in the browser, and 100MB lasts a few minutes...

And please ensure that the thumbnail images (slides and album!) are really only a few kB...

Hi,

for the albums

<album title="Betty & Tony" description="Wedding" image="bt/1.JPG">
<album title="Betty's" description="Friends" image="Bfrd/37c.JPG">
there are NO thumbs as images provided (bt/1.JPG is 81k, Bfrd/37c.JPG is 541 k !!! ). Try to use small images for all albums, because all album images are loaded at once for the album select view.

And your thumbs are not really 4-8kB small: bt/tn/1T.JPG is 16k, tr/trn/1T.JPG (384*255 pixel) is 14k and so on. All thumbs for one album are loaded at once when viewing this album. Please try to use thumbs with a size of max. 120 * 90 pixel and use a higher jpeg compression for them.

Olaf

BTW: beautiful bride, Betty...
